Welcome to our Troop!

Welcome to the official homepage of Oswego Troop 31 of the Three Fires Council, Maramech Hill District!

We are located in Oswego, IL and our chartering sponsor is the Oswego Presbyterian Church. The troop was founded over 80 years ago and has been a real success thanks to our exceptional leadership and parental involvement. We meet on a weekly basis with the exception of holidays. The Monday evening meetings are held at the Oswego Presbyterian Church on the lower level from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

March 2022 update --- We will meet as a Troop at this new location. This will be our troop meeting spot for the foreseeable future. Location: The Oswego Senior and Community Center (The old Oswego Police Station). The address is 3525 US 34, Oswego, IL 60543 (across from the Fox Bend Golf Course).

With outdoor activities planned monthly, we accomplish the needs of the camping and backpacking enthusiasts. We attend a Scout-selected week-long summer camp annually and it is generally one of the highlights of the year.

Scribes' Updates

8-28  - A few Haikus

Per Merriam-Webster, a haiku is "an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually five, seven, and five syllables respectively." As many haikus are written about nature, seasons and the outdoors, the Scribes took this opportunity to express their thoughts in haiku form, as they personally relate to Scouting. Please take a moment to enjoy their sentiment. Thank you!
